I had hardly finished posting my advert for our E Class Mercedes Cabriolet when Duncan contacted me. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, polite manner and finally, an excellent offer for our car. For those that have used Motorway to sell their cars, Duncan offered us more. A deposit was paid immediately and the car was collected less than 24 hours after I had first posted the advert. Money was transferred into my account whilst the driver was here after checking the car was as described. Easy and faultess sale and transaction. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasure dealing / selling my Vehicle Mercedes SL400, to Mr Duncan Thorpe from Prestige Connections Mr Duncan Thorpe conducts his business in a very professional & friendly manner . First contact was over the phone , we did not agree on the price . Duncan was kind enough to text me to say he was sorry and to feel free to keep his number and keep in touch. Which I did . Ten days later I contacted Duncan and agreed on a price and veiwing / inspection of Vehicle. I don't usually invite people to my house to view my vehicles . With Duncan I felt comfortable . Everything went smoothly . Viewing , paying deposit , and the balance on collection. I will definitely keep Duncan's details for future business. Once again it was a pleasure . Some common questions and answers

How is payment made?

Payment is made with an instant bank transfer. Funds will be cleared in your account before the car is taken.

My car is on finance, will you still buy it?

Yes, of course. Any outstanding finance is settled with an instant bank transfer. You can be rest assured that your car will not be driven away until the finance company have given you confirmation of clearance. Any remaining balance is paid to you via an instant bank transfer. If the amount owed is more than the current value of your car then you will need to pay the difference before the car is taken.

Will you collect?

Yes. Anywhere in the U.K. including Northern Ireland.

How do I tell DVLA that I’ve sold the car?

Once the transaction is complete, the vehicle will be transferred into the trade via the DVLA website. You will then receive an email from the DVLA to confirm the vehicle is in the trade.

How do I get my road tax refunded?

Once the vehicle is transferred to the trade via the DVLA website, you will be automatically refunded any money owed by the DVLA back into your bank or onto the debit/credit card you used to purchase the car tax. If you pay your car tax by direct debit you must cancel the direct debit through your bank. This process will be completed during the collection of your car.

What if I have a personal plate?

No problem. This can be done online for you during the collection. You will then receive an email from the DVLA confirming that your personal number is now on retention. The car will not be driven away until you have the confirmation from the DVLA.

What documentation will I need?

You will need your V5 registration document. MOT certificate (If required). Locking wheel nut. Book packs and any service invoices that relate to the car.

Will you buy a car that belonged to a deceased relative?

Yes. As long as you have legal documents which prove that you are the executor and have the right to dispose of the deceased’s possessions. With utmost sensitivity, full efforts will be made to ensure that you have an extremely smooth and satisfactory transaction at an understandably difficult time.
